Tech Data Formalizes a European Distribution Agreement with iaconnects

Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) announced a pan-European agreement with iaconnects, an advanced building control systems and IoT solutions provider.

The new agreement gives Tech Data customers access to iaconnects’ entire product portfolio, including: MobiusFlow Gateway, Building Control Module (BCM) and Lighting Control Module (LCM) and a range of wireless sensors.

Craig Smith, vice president, IoT and Analytics Solutions, Europe, at Tech Data, said, “The agreement with iaconnects adds building and lighting control modules (BCMs and LCMs) to our IoT portfolio. This will offer our customers a wider range of solutions when integrating digitalization into facilities management. Furthermore, iaconnects’ products are complementary to the existing offering that we have available in our IoT portfolio.”

Stephen Hayes, chairman at iaconnects said, “Smart IoT connected lighting solutions are a hot topic at the moment for intelligent solutions in buildings. iaconnects’ products are designed to be quick and easy to install and commission, to offer a reliable energy-saving lighting control system, thereby reducing costs and time on site for Tech Data’s customers across Europe. We look forward to utilizing Tech Data’s expansive network and IoT expertise to help make buildings smarter and more energy-efficient across the region.”

Tech Data recently demonstrated its IoT capabilities during its IoT on Wheels Roadshow 2018, visiting 10 cities in six countries between April and June, with an IoT enabled truck. The roadshow carried demonstrations from Tech Data’s range of IoT and analytics solutions for the manufacturing, retail, transport, logistics and smart-space sectors.
