Partnership enables customers to simplify backup and reduce fragmented/unstructured data with software-defined solutions
Tech Data has further expanded its enterprise data management capabilities by announcing an extended distribution agreement with Cohesity, a leading provider of data management solutions.
The partnership gives Tech Data customers access to solutions that makes it simple for customers to backup, access and have exceptional visibility into the vast majority of their enterprise data — on-premises, in the cloud and at the edge — all through one web-scale platform. Customers also can extract new value from their data through applications that run on the same platform, all managed from a singleuser interface.
“Cohesity has a unique value proposition to solve mass data fragmentation in an effective and cost efficient manner, said Jochen Bonne, Director Advanced Solutions at Tech Data in the Benelux. Therefore Tech Data has built up technical pre-sales expertise to support its channel partners in both pureplay Cohesity solutions and solutions brought to the market via the Cisco and HPE technology partnerships.”
Through the logistical capabilities and the wide reach of Tech Data’s ecosystem, Cohesity will obtain wider distribution and better access to vendor partnerships. The relationship offers Cohesity a larger network of partners all of whom offer customers more efficiency, productivity and speed in delivering leading solutions.
“Tech Data provides the end-to-end ecosystem and support that we value in a distribution partner,” says Robert Jan Dullaart, channel sales manager, Benelux, Cohesity. “Tech Data’s expertise is an important way of us to achieve our growth objectives in the region. Tech Data has strong relationships with many of our existing channel and alliance partners, which will help ensure we deliver rich capabilities to our rapidly growing customer base in the region.
Cohesity also empowers customers to solve a critical challenge facing enterprises today: mass data fragmentation. With mass data fragmentation, massive volumes of data used for backup, archiving, testing and development, analytics file shares and object store, sit in silos that don’t integrate and can be incredibly challenging, costly and time-consuming to backup and manage.
Recent research from Cohesity shows that nearly nine in ten organizations believe secondary data is fragmented across silos and is, or will become, nearly impossible to manage long term. Many organizations are using between 11 and 15 solutions or more to manage their complex secondary data operations. So, although data has become recognized as one of the most valuable resources in the digital business era – it has also become one of the biggest barriers to digital transformation. Cohesity’s platform consolidates these silos, which can help customers reduce costs, simplify management and make data more productive.
