HP provides a free and convenient way to recycle empty Original HP Cartridges through the HP Planet Partners programme – ensuring your cartridges will never be sent to landfills. Materials from recycled HP cartridges are used to manufacture new Original HP Cartridges and help close the loop.

HP’s global climate action goals
Reach carbon neutrality and zero waste in HP operations by 2025
HP will recycle 1.2 million tonnes of hardware and supplies by 2025. HP commits to 75% of its total annual product and packaging content (by weight) to come from recycled and renewable materials and reused products and parts by 2030.
Reduce global ocean-bound plastics
HP has joined the Ocean Conservancy’s Trash Free Seas Alliance, aiming to reduce plastic pollution in oceans, create a stable market for
low-value plastics, and increase the availability of recycled content.
Maintain zero deforestation for HP paper and paper-based packaging
In 2020, HP achieved zero deforestation for 99% of HP brand paper and paper-based product packaging.3 By 2030 HP will counteract deforestation for non-HP paper used in HP products and print services.
